Is an ancient Maya City in Belize, once a major center for trade and ceremonies. It thrived between 200 BCE and 900 CE and is best known for the Temple Of Masonry Altars, where a large jade head of the Sun God was found - the biggest of its kind in the Maya world.

Deep in the heart of Belize's jungle, lies the Nohoch Che'en Caves Branch, a place where history flows underground - literally! This incredible cave system was sacred to the ancient Maya, who believed caves were gateways to the underworld, known as Xibalba (sheel-bal-ba). They came here to perform rituals, offer sacrifices, and connect with their gods in the dark, echoing chambers.
Today you can float through those same caves on an inner tube, surrounded by glittering stalactites, ancient pottery shards, and hidden ceremonial altars.

The Belize Zoo
More than just a zoo - it's a walk through Belize's backyard! The Belize Zoo started in 1983 as a rescue mission for animals used in a nature documentary, and it quickly became a beloved wildlife sanctuary. Today, it's home to over 45 native species, including; jaguars, tapirs, howler monkeys, toucans and even crocodiles - all in their natural forest habitats.
